These recesses on your teeth are vulnerable to tooth decay since they tend to collect bacteria and food. The sealants can be used by both kids and adults who are at risk of developing cavities and they last up to 10 years.
- Regular Dental Checkups
Visit your dentist regularly for oral exams, teeth cleaning, and preventative treatments. This will help spot problems well in advance and prevent cavities even for the highest risk individual.
- Watch Your Diet
You should avoid foods that tend to stick to your teeth longer as they promote cavities. Cookies, chips, and other processed, sugary foods should be struck off your diet. Instead, go for fruits and vegetables since they help boost the flow of saliva in the mouth and remineralize the enamel of your teeth.
