Wisconsin Police Lieutenant’s Powerful Lament: Today I Stopped Caring

Today, I stopped caring about my fellow man. I stopped caring about my community, my neighbors, and those I serve. I stopped caring today because a once noble profession has become despised, hated, distrusted, and mostly unwanted.
I stopped caring today because parents refuse to teach their kids right from wrong and blame us when they are caught breaking the law. I stopped caring today because parents tell their little kids to be good or “the police will take you away” embedding a fear from year one. Moms hate us in their schools because we frighten them and remind them of the evil that lurks in the world.
They would rather we stay unseen, but close by if needed, but readily available to “fix their kid.” I stopped caring today because we work to keep our streets safe from mayhem in the form of reckless, drunk, high, or speeding drivers, only to be hated for it, yet hated even more because we didn’t catch the drunk before he killed someone they may know.
Nevertheless, we are just another tool used by government to generate “revenue.” I stopped caring today because Liberals hate the police as we carry guns, scare kids, and take away their drugs. We always kill innocent people with unjust violence. We are called bullies for using a Taser during a fight, but are condemned further for not first tasing the guy who pulls a gun on us.
And if we do have to shoot, we are asked “why didn’t you just shoot the gun out of their hand?” And when one of us is killed by the countless attacks that do happen (but are rarely reported in the mainstream media) the haters say, “Its just part of the job.” I stopped caring today because Conservatives hate us as we are “the Government.” We try to take away their guns, freedoms, and liberty at every turn.
We represent a “Police State” where “jackbooted badge-wearing thugs” randomly attack innocent people without cause or concern for constitutional rights. We are Waco, Ruby Ridge, and Rodney King all rolled into one lone police officer stopping to help change an old lady’s tire. I stopped caring today as no one wants us around, but instantly demands answers, results, arrests, when a crime takes place.
If a crime isn’t solved within the allocated 60 minutes it takes CSI on television, we are inept, incompetent, or covering something up. If we do get “lucky” it was just that and everyone with a Facebook account can post wonderful comments of how “they” would solve the case and how “we” are not nearly as clever.
I stopped caring today because a video of a cop six states away, from a department that you never heard of, screws up and forgets his oath of honor, thus firing up an internet lynch-mob of cop haters even though 99% of us work twice as hard not to end up in the news and to still be “the good guys.” We are “militarized” because we wear body armor and kevlar helmets when shots are fired or rocks thrown at us and carry scary looking rifles even though everyone knows that they are easier to shoot and are more accurate than a handgun or a shotgun.
I stopped caring today because the culture of today’s instantly connected youth is only there to take and never give back. To never accept responsibility for ones actions, but to blame everyone else instead of themselves. To ask “what is in it for me?” versus “what can I do for you?”

  1. The protection of badge brothers has more to do with public hatred and mistrust, than bad parenting. If punishment was severe swift and sure for bad conduct, instead of a rally round the officer, self investigations and complaints about public scrutiny or filming, things might improve.

Sounds like he's doing the same thing, we've all seen the many Cop Abuse videos. So I ask you sir, why are you blaming the victims for YOUR actions.

Did you go to Israel for training? Is that where you learned to play the victim?

  3. Sadly, Kelly Thomas is unavailable for comment, as is Eric Garner and Rumain Brisbon.

I'm 27 times more likely to be killed by a cop than a terrorist.

As for a cop having a dangerous job, tell that to electricians, roofers, loggers and pizza delivery drivers. They're all more dangerous than being a cop.

Finally, as to the pitiful whining about not being respected or admired, "law enfoenforcement officers" are not something to admire. PEACE officers, yes. But the goon-squads running around shaking (or gunning) down innocent people?

Cry me a frigging RIVER, dirtbag.

  4. I agree with the earlier comments. Police today do not have my respect. I should point out that the police are not alone in that -- the entire "justice system" has gone rogue. The police are merely the most visible part, the point of the spear being waved at us. They are not peacekeepers, they are not protectors. They are a mercenary gang employed as muscle to keep taxpaying cattle in line.

Half a century ago I respected the police. Most of them were decent men, and they still kept a watch over the worst of their fellows. Times have changed.

  5. Well Mr. policeman, if there weren't 300,000 laws maybe the kids, us and YOU wouldn't be breaking the law, now would we?

Sure, violence and robbery and the common sense laws need enforced and enforced equally and stringently. As for the other 299,990, GO POUND SALT.

  6. That's for sure!
We're all sick of hearing about the "bad apple" baloney.
When the bad apple commits felonies and the other "good apples" don't say anything and even cover for the "bad apple" then they're bad apples too! I wonder if there is even one good apple in any police dept.

Had the police not made the conscious choice to stop their old motto of "Protect and to serve" and become thugs for the Corporation and their interests they would not have the reputation they earned for themselves. They made their choices and now they must learn to live with their poor choice of just who it was they are going to serve and protect.

  9. Cops were very recently exposed as agent provocateurs in the Ferguson protests, setting fires and smashing windows. When confronted they pulled their sidearms and ran away. How about that you jackbooted pig-f@cking fascist?

  10. I'm not stupid enough - or so easily duped - to be a 'liberal' or a 'conservative'. I try to use common sense and logic to see every issue on it's own merits, and so I am not controlled by public opinion, nor the outrageous lies of the government and media.

However, when it comes to cops, YOU MADE YOUR BED - YOU SLEEP IN IT, COP.

Didn't see any mention of you upset by the violations to the US Constitution - that you were sworn to uphold. Or the FACT the cops violate the Constitution, EVERYDAY, as you drive around with your 'Stingray' unit, and ILLEGALLY eavesdrop and follow protestor's conversations.

Are you standing up for 'copwatch.org', for Freedom of Speech, as it was labeled a "terrorist website" - for reporting cop-behavior?

I have NEVER called a cop, and certainly would never, now, based on your absurd, insane, and murderous response to the one who calls or the victim.

We, AS CITIZENS, have what are known as 'deterrents'; The saner citizen KNOWS that if he commits a crime, there is punishment.

This is enough of a deterrent, to most, lieutenant, BUT COPS NO LONGER HAVE 'DETERRENTS'.

If you choose to tazer someone - and melt off their ear, it's now "fine". You are covered by your Union, the Commissioner and Mayor's office, the DHS.

And given a raise or promotion.

If you decide, instead, to draw your service weapon and kill ANYONE who happens to be at the scene, then that is your decision, and you KNOW - because there is no punishment (even if it's an innocent bystander!), then there are no 'deterrents' for you to consider whatever action you choose.

Finally, I have yet to see or meet a cop that was above a somewhat low/average IQ, or wasn't bullied in school. The badge and gun make you a very frightening entity, again, because [you've] shown a tremendous lack of good decision making abilities, have a chip on [your] shoulder, are BRAINWASHED with an 'us against them" indoctrinated mind-set.......and [you] are armed.

    With no deterrents.

I was raised that 'crime doesn't pay', but we were wrong; CRIME DOES PAY.

You just have to be in the government, a politician, a bankster, a CEO, or a cop with a gun and badge.

  11. That's funny. Two police public relations pieces in the media in two days. They must be starting to panic. What pig-boy forgets to mention in his "hero" speech is that all of America has seen the sadistic executions of innocent people by cops in a dozen different videos already, and watching them blow people away for no reason leaves quite an impression. He can save this BS for the Adam-12 crowd, because most of America already knows better.

  12. This "noble" profession has been destroyed from within. Firstly by police behaving in a criminal manner but then secondarily by all those involved in covering up those crimes.
Had the police been a "noble" profession things would never have gotten to where they now are. They have no one but themselves to blame. There will come a breaking point where people will simply stop accepting the brutish and tyrannical behavior of police. Right now they answer to no one but one day they will, and it won't be to the courts or corrupted legal system.

I don't care that he doesn't care. The police and their masters have declared war on the American people and our Constitution. They are a buncha little cowards quakin in their boots ready to blow anybody anytime away cause they are so scared.
Cops don't even rate in the top ten for most dangerous jobs. The number of police officers murdered last year was around 30. The number of Americans murdered by these thugs under color of law is well over 1,000 a year!
The name is everything. Police...ie they are policy enforcers for their corporate masters. They aren't peace officers like my great gramps the Sheriff. They are policy enforcers. They are just a gang...gangsters operating under color of law!

  16. ....what a load of propagandist tripe....refuse to violate your oath of office...do your job properly, do not support corruption... and no one would need to notice that you are keeping the streets safe from real criminals...rapists, robbers, murders, etc... that is your job....but until the day comes when you are willing to go to The Oval office and arrest The Torturer in Chief...then maybe we'll start feeling some of those crocodile tears your trying to hand out......I think I'll vomit in my mouth....

  17. I stopped caring because government does not give a shit about me and anything I do. A lot of the people I deal with, I care about but most of the people, I could not care less, I am on my own and there will be no one there for me if anything happens.

  19. " a once noble profession has become despised, hated, distrusted, and mostly unwanted."
We didn't do it you D*head, you did!
We know that you don't care, if you had cared maybe it would still be a "Profession".
You did nothing when a cop broke a tail-light, to justify a stop.
You did nothing when a cop "dropped" a gun to justify a shooting.
You did nothing when a cop lied about a sobriety test, to make his quota.
You learned to shout "Stop resisting, stop resisting," so that you could beat up on small people and feel that adrenaline,
You learned to say "I feared for my life" so that you could use your guns with complete impunity.
It is 50 years since Frank Serpico blew the whistle on you bums, and things have only got worse.
So go and get the "counseling" that I will have to pay for.
Go and collect your Meds which I will have to pay for.
Go and collect your pension after the most parasitic 20 years that could be imagined.
    We don't care!

did you stop caring because 18 out of 30 stories on whatreallyhappened are all bad cop stories? because cointelpro is trying to wag the dog on inciting americans against their law men? its a psyop and so is this story with mr puddle cheeks the sad flat foot pic. up yours operating mockingbird.

  21. You stopped caring? Screw you!

You are OUR servants We, THE People pay YOUR salary, but you chose to work for the COrporations! You are slaves to them, the Corporations, your NMasters. You, cop pigs, have ALL said that.

And what's more you are being trained with a Manual from a foreing government, israel! You're treating us, like the enemy, like the isralis treat the Palestinians. Traitors that you are!

And you wonder what went wrong?!

  22. The poor little winning crybaby cop doesn't like the rap he is getting for not upholding his oath of office.

    1. You knew the job was dangerous when you took i!.

    2. There are NO good police officers. The Key Words are PROTECT and SERVE. Police are PUBLIC SERVANTS and we, the taxpayers, are your MASTERS who pay your parasitic salaries for that service.

    3. If the, so called, good cops were truly good cops, they would report the abusive cops that are giving them a bad name. They would work to make sure these criminal pretend cops do some hard time for their crimes. I DON'T SEE THAT HAPPENING!

    4. A costume and a badge doesn't exempt you when you violate the Constitution! Oh wait....I guess it does today.

    5. A good cop would refuse to be part of the Jewish / Israeli Retraining Process that violates the Constitution they swore to uphold, and would report anyone who is.

Police today are hated, and rightfully so, because they are mental morons with mandatory IQ's of less than 100 who are serving the Jewish coup that has taken place in the United States and the World.

To the crybaby under appreciated cop:
If you don't like what is happening today, change it.
Get together with your fellow officers, who feel the same way and get rid of and arrest the criminal cops including the Police Chiefs if necessary.
If not, quit and find out what it's like on the other side of the silly storm trouper costume.

  24. Agreed, when every single apple you come across is a bad one, and the good ones are just hiding the bad ones, eventually you have the conclude the entire orchard is crap.

I read a cop defending the game saying "If you had a few bad boards in your house you wouldn't rebuild your whole wall" I replied 'Yeah, but if over HALF your boards were rotted, you'd burn it to the ground and start fresh. Still want to use that analogy?" :)

Cops can be so pathetic...they do everything in their power to separate themselves from the general population, treat us all like crap and potential criminals, and then wonder why we don't respect them when they DEMAND it rather than EARN it. Bullies in grade school have more maturity and situational awareness than that.
