This study just took government waste to a whole new level

The real time U.S. debt clock shows that America is now over $18 trillion in debt. According to Obama, it was just plain un-American when the debt piled up under Bush’s watch. But Obama has racked up more debt than every U.S. president combined, and there’s no signs of him stopping his legacy. It’s bad enough that congress passed the $1.1 trillion “cromnibus” bill.

If you thought a country in such deep debt would be careful about how it spends it’s money, well, you’d be wrong. Don’t you know? Spending almost $500,000 on the effects of alcoholism on lesbian relationships is extremely important.
From CNS News:

(CNSNews.com) – The National Institutes of Health through its National Institute on Alcohol Abuse and Alcoholism has funded a studyto uncover the correlation between alcohol abuse and lesbian “intimate partner violence.”
The grant, titled, “Minority Stress, Alcohol Use, and Intimate Partner Violence Among Lesbians,’ was awarded to Old Dominion University.
“Alcohol abuse and dependence, and the constellation of problems associated with these disorders, including intimate partner violence (IPV) are a serious health concern for sexual minority women, their partners, their families, and society as a whole,” the grant abstract said.
“Despite documentation of important health disparities, a significant gap still exists regarding why sexual minority women are more likely to experience alcohol use disorders and IPV,” it added.
Researchers will recruit 400 lesbians, at least 18 years old, currently in a romantic relationship with a woman. Participants will take part in “3 waves of online surveys at baseline, 6- and 12-month follow-ups.”
The long-term goal of the project is to use the results “to develop culturally sensitive prevention and early intervention strategies that reduce lesbians’ alcohol misuse and IPV, thereby improving health and functioning in this underserved population.”

  1. Go to wikipedia and look up "odious debt". http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Odious_debt

The next time someone mentions the national debt to you, just respond, "it's not MY debt. I didn't agree to it. It was not done for my benefit. I am not responsible."

It is true. YOU are not responsible. Your government is out of control and no longer follows the Constitution. Government debt, government obligations, are not YOUR debt. Some day, someone will come to you and tell you that you owe "your fair share to pay off Treasury Bonds and governmental borrowings."

Tell 'em to take a hike. It is not YOUR debt.
