Grandma SHOCKED when police question her about this “potentially racially offensive” window display

Racism is a charge that liberals toss around so frequently these days that it’s becoming difficult to discern when someone’s really a victim of some awful hate crime, or when they’re just being an over sensitive jerk. In most cases it’s the latter.

Progressives see racism underneath the most mundane of actions and activities, and the reason for this is because it helps them gain a tighter grip on minority voters who are essential to keeping them in their position of power.

The latest “racist” overreaction involves a 70-year-old grandmother and a knitted gorilla hanging from a window in her home. Buckle your seat belt folks, this is going to make your head spin.

Anne Feast, 70, is a retired customer service advisor and a mother of two children. She is also a masterful knitter, who has two suitcases full of original creations that she often displays on her window for passersby.

On Sept. 17, two officers knocked on Feast’s door.
“As soon as I opened the door, the woman just said, ‘We have had a complaint about the black body hanging in your window,’” Feast told the Daily Mirror.
“I told them to look closer and they would see it was just a baby black gorilla,” Feast continued. “She looked at it and said that it was.”

Feast explained that the “black body” in question was just “Cilla the Gorilla,” a baby gorilla she knitted a year ago. She was shocked when the officer told her that someone in the neighborhood complained about the display, calling it “offensive.”

Who wouldn’t be shocked over receiving such a ridiculous complaint about something as harmless as a knitted baby gorilla hanging from a window?
Feast’s husband was so shocked over the incident that he actually hung posters in the neighborhood asking for the individual who made the complaint to come forward.
What’s even more strange is that the Cambridge police told the media that they never received a complaint about the toy. The officers involved in the incident took it upon themselves to investigate the toy believing it had the potential to be a “racially offensive object.”
Really? Since when do the police have the right to knock on your door and lie in order to gather information about something they deem as “potentially racist?” I didn’t realize police officers were commissioned to be on the lookout for racism. I thought they were supposed to be protecting people and locking up dangerous criminals, not not policing the streets and potentially violating someone’s First Amendment rights.

  3. The US government never misses an opportunity to cleave us apart along racial lines. They are terrified black and white will get together and realize we never were each other's enemies and turn our sights on THEM!

  4. The cops, accusing others of racism, THAT'S CLASSIC! Was it opposite day or something? Is this an onion article? Enough already guys, where's the punchline. April fools maybe?

  5. Maybe if there had been a noose around the "baby gorilla's" neck the cops would have had a more sound reason to bother this nice-looking lady! Geeez have many Americans developed, as Jim Morrison would call it, "egg-shell fragile minds"!

  8. If it was the silhouette of a dog being shot by a cop there would have been no problems.

  9. I'd tell the cop to get the hell out of here. Then call a lawyer to start a civil rights suit.

  10. You've got to attack these leftists first as I did at the NY opening of the Obama movie by shoving Corsi's book right in front of the NY 1 camera and in the face of a ditsoon supporter.

  12. That's what I want to know, too. They were an idiot, though, regardless of skin color. And I would say the cop was racist to see a knit gorilla and think of black people.

  13. I live in CA, land of the liberal loony...our police wouldn't bother responding to this. If this story is true, they need to fine the person who made the call in the first place, for wasting police officers time.
